Ingeteam, amongst participants on the Power2Power European Research Project

Providing next-generation silicon-based power solutions  in transport and machinery for significant decarbonisation in the next decade.

The POWER2POWER project, granted by European Union H2020 research and innovation program was founded early in June 2019.

The main objective of the project is to accelerate the technological development of components and systems based on power electronics, to assure the transition to more efficient applications in order to achieve the decarbonization objectives fixed by the European Union.

The POWER2POWER project has a total budget of 74 M € and involves 43 companies from 8 countries.

Ingeteam is the leader of a Working Group that will develop 12 applications in 3 different sectors, MOBILITY, INDUSTRY, GRIDS. Ingeteam and Universidad de Oviedo will be developing two applications on the Mobility and Grid sectors.

The project will allow significant developments on power electronics areas where Ingeteam holds its activities.

Ingeteam sees Technology and Innovation as a growth engine. The Group develops its products, systems and services for many different sectors: wind, PV, hydro and fossil fuel power generation; metal and mineral processing; mining; marine; rail traction; waters; e-vehicle charging; power grid, always striving towards more sustainable energy generation, transmission, distribution and consumption.

Power2Power is a European co-funded innovation project on Semiconductor Industry.
The project receives grants from the European H2020 research and innovation program, ECSEL Joint Undertaking, and National Funding Authorities from eight involved countries under grant agreement No. 826417. The participating countries are Austria, Finland, Germany including the Free States of Saxony and Thuringia, Hungary, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain and Switzerland.
