Hot-dip galvanization is the way of coating steel strip with zinc, which alloys with the surface of the base metal –strip- when immersing the metal in a molten zinc bath at a temperature of around 450 °C. The main characteristics of the material obtained are:
    - Exceptional duration.

    - Integral protection of the parts (inside and out).

    - Triple Protection:

o	Physical barrier: The coating has a higher hardness and strength than any other type of coating.
o	Electrochemical protection: Over time, a thin layer of zinc oxide is formed which acts as an insulator for galvanizing.
o	Self-cured: On surface scrapes, there is a clogging by chemical reaction of the damaged surface.
    - No maintenance required.

    - Easy to paint.

Hot Dip Galvanized steel is widely used in applications where corrosion resistance is needed without the cost of stainless steel:
    - Automotive Industry.

    - Construction, in general.

    - Pipelines.

    - Ducts.

    - Boards.

    - Boxes.

    - Roofing sheets.

    - High voltage towers.

    - Structural parts.

    - Street furniture and home appliances

The first reference of Ingeteam goes 30 years ago when we revamped the nowadays ArcelorMittal’s CGL in Etxebarri. We have come a long way since then, with a number of references between revamps and green-fields bigger than 30, covering different continents and customers.
