In onshore wind, we’re one of the most important countries on the continent with 27 GW of installed capacity. And our Offshore Wind Roadmap aims to build up to 3 GW of floating wind by 2030. Today, the industry employs 28,000 people in Spain and adds €3bn to its GDP. But the ambitions for wind continue to grow, and wind is at the heart of our long-term energy strategy.

And Bilbao is the jewel in Spain’s renewable crown

It’s the headquarters for some of Europe’s renewable energy leaders. Meanwhile, the Basque Country aims to become a major offshore energy hub in the years ahead. When it comes to the energy transition, Bilbao’s future looks bright indeed! All the more reason why we’re thrilled to be heading back to Bilbao!
