Ingeteam has signed its biggest contract to date for Mexico's Federal Electricity Commission (CFE). The contract, awarded in a public tender, covers the supply of over 100 electrical protection, control and metering systems. This is Ingeteam's biggest project of its kind to date for CFE.

Specifically, the order comprises 103 electrical panels, including line and transformer protection systems, capacitor banks, bus tie switches and power supplies. These systems are for use in protecting, controlling and metering electricity distribution. The equipment will be built at the Ingeteam plant in Zamudio (Bizkaia) and the electrical panels will be manufactured in Mexico.

Each of these electrical systems offers a complete protection and control layout. Their stand-out characteristics include their modular design, a fully programmable user interface, logic capabilities compliant with standard IEC 61131 (the International Electrical Commission standard for programmable controllers) and communications features that permit full, secure interaction with the equipment locally and remotely online.

The equipment also features high sampling capacity, enabling protection, data acquisition and analysis functions to be implemented more precisely and reliably.

All this equipment meets the highest standards on the market and has been tested and certified by the CFE's own LAPEM (Equipment & Materials Testing Laboratory), as required for all supplies to the Commission.
