Ingeteam now has the IEC 61850 Edition 2 Level A certificate as the server for its INGEPAC™ EF family of protection, control and measurement equipment, assuring its functioning as a server and its seamless integration into any IEC 61850 system. This certificate complements the Edition 1 certificate which was obtained for the same platform in 2012 and which joins the Edition 2 certificate of the INGEPAC™ DA family which was awarded in 2016.

On this occasion, the certificate obtained with DNV - GL (formerly Kema) is a multi-model certificate which includes the following models of the INGEPAC™ EF family:

• MD3 : Multifunction protection & control
• CD2 : Control and measurement
• CB1 : Capacitor Bank protection & control
• LD2 : Line differential protection
• ZT1 : Distance protection
• TD1 : Differential transformer protection & control
• BF1 : Breaker management
• MP0 : Motor protection

It is worth mentioning that besides the most basic functional features of the IEC 61850 standard, such as Setting Groups, Reports, Gooses, control model, file transfer or synchronisation, less common functional features have been certified such as the substitution model and service tracking.

Hence, it is one of the most comprehensive certifications and with the most test cases performed from amongst the ones available to date on the web site of the UCA International Users Group.
