In the second quarter of 2021, Ingeteam was awarded a contract for the delivery of four Water-Cooled, Medium Voltage Variable Speed Drives from the INGEDRIVE MV100 family, with a 24P DFE diode rectifier, 3 Level NPC Topology with HV IGBTs and dv/dt output filter. INGEDRIVE MV100 Medium-Voltage Variable Speed Drives will be installed at the Greenfield Copper Mine in Russia.
The Variable Speed Drives will be used to drive four VRM Mills, each with a power of 6.5 MW and a gross volume of 50’000 liter these will be the world’s most powerful Stirred Mills ever manufactured. These Ingeteam VSD’s are connected to a 10 kV grid thru rectifier transformers and have an input voltage of 4x 1,850 V and output voltage of 3.3 kV. These VSDs will drive the Regrinding Mills at the Flotation Plant of the mine. STM’s VRM Regrinding Mills supports to increase mineral recovery and concentrate grade in the process plant.
Besides the four Medium Voltage Variable Speed Drives, Ingeteam’s scope of supply includes the isolation transformers and the design of the drive system. The equipment will be delivered during 2022. INGEDRIVE™ is available with power ratings up to 44 MVA, from 400V to 690V in low voltage and 3 kV to 6.9 kV in medium voltage, offering great performance, reliability, together with a user-friendly interface.
Ingeteam thanks STM Minerals for the trust put in us in this important and big project, we are sure to fulfill the expectations of our customer and continue the successful business relationship developed so far.
