The contract covers the need for Enel Green Power España (EGPE) to replace part of the Substation Control Units (SCU) and Local SCADA (HMI) in existing substations, due to the obsolescence of the equipment and the difficulty of ensuring maintainability of these in the absence of support.
EGPE considers that the SCU are a critical element to ensure the operation of the evacuation substations of its renewable energy plants, which requires suppliers of reliable equipment, with proven reliability and committed to supporting the entire useful life of the plant – requirements that both Ingeteam and its SCU devices meet.
The scope of the contract includes the equipment to replace existing SCU from other suppliers, as well as SCU / Local SCADA (HMI) configuration services, integration of existing protection and control equipment and communication with the EGPE control center in the IEC 60870-5-104 protocol.
This scope will allow EGPE to have a real-time operation system for its substations, enabling the evacuation of the energy generated when the market requires it.
This supply will increase up to 450 MW the generation capacity of EGPE evacuated through Ingeteam Control Systems, which reaches more than 25 GW worldwide.
