The INGESYS™ IC2 family of controllers has included new communication interfaces alongside the existing ones in order to offer the most comprehensive, standard-based connectivity solution possible.  

The following optional interfaces have been included:

• 10/100Mbit M12 Ethernet port connector with separate IP, as a complement to the system's port in order to accommodate redundant networks with two separate IPs. 
• MVB, class 1 ESD+ field bus module for including INGESYS™ IC2 in TCN networks.
• CAN module running on Versatile Link optic fibre for demanding environments in terms of EMC. 
• Module for interconnection to the RTSX proprietary bus.
