Ingeteam is awarded the contract for supplying the control systems for the IKEA Portugal solar plant

Through SISACOL (Sistemas de Automação e controle Lda), Ingeteam Power Technology has supplied the INGESYSTM IC3 and INGESYSTM IC2 control systems in the intercommunication protection panel for safely controlling the photovoltaic plant’s circuit-breaker.

Ingeteam’s control solution is based on a redundant ring with fibre communication between the various Ingeteam systems and which communicates with the control centre via RS232/485 serial communication.

Thanks to the internal web server of the  INGESYSTM systems it is possible to view the situation of the solar farm’s different elements and interact with them from any place.

The IKEA plant is located in Paços de Ferreira and consists of 18,240 photovoltaic panels for covering the consumption of all of the factories in Portugal.   This project is one of the largest coverages for self energy consumption in Europe and will cover a total area of 70,745 m². It is due to be completed in early 2018.
