Ingeteam secures its leadership position in the wind and PV markets in Mexico

Once again, Ingeteam is to take part in the most important wind power event in Mexico: Mexico WindPower 2019, to be held on the 20th and 21st March at the Banamex Centre in Mexico City. At booth 412, Ingeteam is set to present its latest developments in predictive maintenance through its Ingeboards data analysis platform and its global O&M services portfolio. Visitors will also get the opportunity to view the company's latest innovations in energy storage systems and SCADA solutions.

Also at the Banamex Centre, at booth C23, the company will take part in the first edition of Solar power Mexico, showcasing its main technological solutions for PV plants, O&M services, monitoring systems and SCADA and plant control systems.

Ingeteam will also present its latest developments in predictive maintenance through its Ingeboards data analysis platform.

Renewables leader in Mexico

Ingeteam is firmly established as the undisputed leader in the Mexican renewables sector, for wind power and PV alike. Ingeteam is the leading company in Mexico in the provision of operation & maintenance services with +2 GW of maintained wind power. This means that Ingeteam is responsible for the maintenance of almost half the total installed power in Mexico and is the top supplier of power electronics equipment with almost 2.6 GW.

Ingeteam, which has been present in this Aztec country since 1998, also manages more than half the country's solar power. The company has already supplied more than 800 MW in PV inverters for the Mexican market, to become one of the solar inverter manufacturers with the most installed power in the country. Over the last year, this leadership position has been strengthened still further thanks to major O&M contracts awarded to the company, such as the one for the 183 MW Cortijo wind farm and for the Hermosillo and Aura Solar III photovoltaic plants. The company also stands out for its protection, control and metering (PC&M) systems for step-up substations at wind farms and PV plants and for CFE switching, which have led to contracts for the automation of more than 2100 MW to date.

Offices across the country

Ingeteam has offices in Juchitán de Zaragoza in the state of Oaxaca and in Mexico City, both dedicated to the provision of O&M services to wind farms and PV parks, to the marketing of its PV inverters, the distribution of equipment and the execution of projects for the automation and protection of distribution power networks and substations for the transmission of renewable energies.

The company also performs an important community role in those regions in which it operates. On the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, for example, Ingeteam is engaged in outreach activities, directed at providing the region's inhabitants with information on renewable energies, thereby encouraging a heightened awareness of renewables and promoting the implementation of the same.
