    Submersible motors

Indar ML electric motors are asynchronous, three-phase, squirrel-cage, submersible motors. These motors must operate filled with water (or a mixture of water and antifreeze) and totally submerged. Lubrication of their bearings is provided by the motor's filling fluid. Cooling is provided by the motor filling liquid and the pumping water surrounding the equipment. ML motors are designed exclusively for driving vertical centrifugal pumps.

Indar ML-M motors, on the other hand, are inverted ML motors that share all the essential features of the ML. Motors in inverted configuration are used to build equipment in which the pump is placed at the bottom and the motor at the top. In this way, the water is sucked in through the lower part of the unit and the equipment can work with lower water levels than the standard configuration (motor at the bottom and pump at the top).
