Ingeteam has supplied its single phase inverters for the installation of a PV laboratory in the Aldolfo Ibáñez University in Santiago, Chile. The project, which has a total power output of 12 kW and an investment of 300,000 dollars, coincides with the opening of an Ingeteam subsidiary in this capital city of Chile.
This innovative PV laboratory, developed by the company EOSOL New Energy and equipped with INGECON® SUN Lite inverters, not only represents yet another step forward in the opening up of the market in Chile, but also aims to become a benchmark in solar energy research work in Chile. The facilities are also equipped with an INGECON® SUN ComBox communications centre, to control the meteorological variables such as radiation and temperature, and system monitoring through the INGECON® SUN Manager software.
The laboratory is equipped with four PV systems, all with different technologies: baseline; fixed; horizontal tracking; polar tracking. All these PV systems have been implemented with 215 W crystalline panels.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Chilean Energy Minister, Mr Jorge Bunster, who emphasised the need to implement policies to promote the generation of renewable energy in Chile. With this aim in mind, Ingeteam has recently opened a new subsidiary in Santiago, Chile, directed at providing its customers with an optimal after-sales service. INGETEAM offers a wide range of three phase central inverters, of the INGECON® SUN PowerMax and INGECON® SUN PowerMaxter brands, in addition to an innovative family of INGECON® SUN PowerStation medium voltage shelters, particularly designed for large plants with power outputs of various megawatts.
To date, Ingeteam has supplied more than 2.5 GWp to its customers, confirming its position as one of the world's leading inverter manufacturers.
