New project finished at the Philip Morris production plant in Bucharest

New project recently finished by one of Ingeteam’s integrators in Romania (Tempos Serv SRL) at the Philip Morris production plant in Bucharest.

The connection of PHILIP MORRIS RUMANIA S.R.L. to the National Electrical System is via a 110/20kV substation. The well-equipped substation consists of a 110kV external transformer cell, a 110/20kV 25MVA power transformer, and a 20kV switchgear connection room (13 electric cells), one control room (control and protection cabinets), auxiliary services cabinets for AD and DC current, an auxiliary service transformer and a Petersen coil.

The substation's control and protection system is composed of Ingeteam equipment and consists of the following devices:

  • INGESASTM IC3: redundant control unit.
  • INGESYSTM IT: Control software and redundant HMI.
  • INGEPACTM EF series for line control and protection equipment, transformer and internal services (including RIO with fibre optic modules).
  • IEC 61850 communication protocol with PRP/HSR redundancy.

The project has been such a success that Ingeteam is already working on another similar project in Moldavia.
