Through its affiliated company in Brazil, Elektro Eletricidade y Serviços S.A (ELEKTRO) has awarded a Framework Agreement to Ingeteam for the supply of a comprehensive IEC 61850-compliant protection, control and measurement system for 35 of the company's electrical distribution substations with 138/69/34,5/13,8kV voltage levels.
The contract with ELEKTRO, belonging to Grupo Iberdrola and one of the largest energy distributors in Brazil, has required the certification of the distance protection equipment (Ingepac EF ZT), transformer differential equipment (Ingepac EF TD) and multifunction equipment (Ingepac EF MD), as well as the automatic operations defined at position and substation level, in accordance with the technical specifications prepared by Elektro for this substation digitalisation project. This certification has been completely managed by Ingeteam PGA staff from the Brazilian affiliated company, once more demonstrating Ingeteam's commitment to offering the highest level of support both in Brazil and in the Iberdrola Group's deployment.
The supply consists of the different protection, control and measurement devices that form part of the system, as well as the detailed engineering services, logic project, FAT and commissioning of the system in the substation. For this supply, Ingeteam's IEC-61850-based INGEPAC EF equipment platform will be used, which contain the latest technology in automation systems, following the certification standards set by ELEKTRO in this case. This company has approximately 137 electrical substation situated in the Brazilian states of Sao Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul.
