The supply of 1025 INGESYS IC3® COMPACT system units to an important manufacturer of electrical pitch control systems for the Chinese market has been completed. The system provides a separate pitch control solution for each blade, based on three INGESYS IC3® COMPACT systems per wind turbine.
A variant of INGESYS IC3® has been adapted to the specific requirements of this application in terms of digital inputs and outputs (16DI, 16DO), temperature measurements (4 PT100), counters (2 SSI channels) as well as in terms of field bus (2 CANopen ports) and LAN communications for monitoring and supervision (2 Ethernet ports).
A new mechanical casing was designed for the INGESYS IC3® COMPACT system with different fixture options enabling it to be adapted easily to the spatial restrictions of the wind turbine hub.
