Ingeteam finalized last February the commissioning of the 230 kV substation that evacuates the energy generated by the Aventura II wind farm, which generates 105 MW of power.

The wind complex belongs to EDP Renováveis and is located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, in Brazil.

The solution supplied by Ingeteam comprises a complete IEC 61850 system:

• Substation SCADA implemented with INGESYS™ IT
• IEDs for the protection and control of the INGEPAC EF platform
• Protection and control cabinets manufactured and tested at the Ingeteam factory in Curitiba
• Programming, FAT tests and commissioning of the supplied system

With vast experience of more than 20 years in the country, the Power Grid Automation Business Unit has a factory in Curitiba inaugurated last year, with great capacity for the production, assembly and testing of protection and control systems for substations of up to 500 kV, both in the renewable sector and in the transmission and distribution of electric power.
