INGETEAM wins tender for the Coolair Logan C44 Grind Car HVAC control system for LORAM (United Kingdom)

Coolair Logan were recently awarded a contract for an air-conditioning upgrade program for the C44 series track grinding machines. This consists of 16 HVAC systems which are split up amongst 3 machines, manufactured by the railway maintenance service provider LORAM for use in the United Kingdom.

The HVAC system is controlled using the INGESYSTM IC2 controller which is compliant with the E501155 and EN54545 railway standards. INGESYSTM IC2 permits a compact, mechanical solution which can be customised to meet the requirements of each individual application using different analog and digital input and output modules and a wide range of communication interfaces to the main communication buses in the railway sector (CAN, MVB, EthernetIP, Profinet, etc.).

The control application is written in Structured Text language in compliance with the IEC61131 standard, based on a set of control and regulation libraries which the system places at the user’s disposition.

A web server embedded in the INGESYSTM IC2 system allows you to remotely view and monitor the HVAC’s operation and also capture logs that the HVAC manufacturer considers as being needed for maintaining the system.
