Electrical equipment and wind optimize wind turbine competitiveness reliable, efficient and flexible solutions for the onshore and offshore market

Ingeteam will exhibit at EWEA 2015 Annual Event, Europe’s premier wind energy event, taking place in Copenhagen March 10th to 12th.

At the event, Ingeteam will be showcasing its electrical portfolio for wind turbines up to 10 MW, including wind power converters, turbine controllers, CMS and SCADA management systems. Ingeteam has a track record of 19.600 wind power converters operating worldwide, served from the production sites in Spain, USA and Brazil.

The new Low and Medium Voltage power converter families which are based on the semiconductor parallelization for certain Power values (especially for low voltage) and on the smart parallelization of several Conversion Lines (especially for medium voltage) allow a complete redundant system solution (Power System, Power Supply, CCU and others). At the same time, the converter families are completely modular and offer flexible and scalable solutions for each project and different application requirements. Ingeteam, as an expert in control electronics, design and manufacture in-house the Converter Control Unit (CCU),that manages and controls the frequency converter´s operation.

Similarly, coincident with the company´s 75º Anniversary, the booth will showcase Indar´s wide range of wind generators, manufactured in different topologies (DFIG, DFM, xDFM and PMG amongst others). Indar has a track record of 16000 wind generators served to the major wind turbine accounts worldwide, with a special presence in Iberian market, East Europe and LATAM.  Overall Indar wind generators recognized by their high efficiency and stiffness, having obtained in parallel the recognition of the most demanding energy utilities and the approval on the certification bodies and the standards worldwide (UL amongst others). Indar serves the wind market from its two technical competence centres located in Milwaukee (WI) and Beasain (Spain) respectively.

Established in 1940, Indar provides electrical solutions for wind energy, hydro energy, stationary power, marine propulsion and mining &industry applications.

Overall, Ingeteam has 19 years of experience in the wind industry and is committed to innovation and development of full in-house technology.. To date, the company has supplied 27 GW of installed wind power capacity worldwide, confirming its position as a global market leader in wind turbine electrical conversion equipment.
