 Advances in power semiconductors and system design enable scalable, high-power LV architectures.

March 10, 2026.

As wind turbine rated power continues to increase, electrical system architecture has become a central design consideration for OEMs. While medium-voltage full converter (MV FC) solutions have traditionally dominated high-power platforms, recent advances in power semiconductor technologies are enabling low-voltage full converter (LV FC) solutions at power levels exceeding 10 MW.

Ingeteam is sharing its technical approach to LV full converter design for next-generation wind turbines, focusing on how modern semiconductor packages, modular architectures, and system-level optimization enable high energy density, service-friendly designs, and long-term reliability.

Key design elements include modular power electronics, validated control and protection systems, and cybersecurity-ready control electronics aligned with IEC 62443 requirements. Together, these features support compact nacelle integration, compliance with demanding grid codes, and reduced operational risk in both onshore and offshore applications.

A central aspect of this approach is system-level optimization. By designing generators and converters as part of an integrated electrical system &amp;mdash; while maintaining compatibility with different generator technologies &amp;mdash; OEMs can optimize current and voltage levels, manage semiconductor constraints, and retain flexibility in response to evolving platform and supply chain strategies.

&amp;ldquo;The discussion is no longer only about MV versus LV, but about how to design electrical systems that are scalable, serviceable, and future-ready,&amp;rdquo; said Alberto Barcia, Business Unit Director of Wind Systems at Ingeteam. &amp;ldquo;Advances in semiconductor technology allow LV full converter solutions to play a much stronger role in high-power wind turbine architectures.&amp;rdquo;

 The regional trains equipped with Ingeteam traction converters, will operate in Austria.
 This order reinforces Ingeteam&amp;acute;s commitment to the development of sustainable mobility.
 Manufacturing will take place at the Ortuella (Bizkaia) production facilities.

Ingeteam has received an order from Stadler to supply traction converters for 16 BEMUS (Battery &amp;amp; Electric Multiple Units) that will run on the Kamptalbahn line in Austria, reaching a maximum speed of 160 km/h (140 km/h under battery). The contract includes options for a total of up to 120 vehicles.

For each train Ingeteam will deliver two roof-mounted, water-cooled traction converters. The equipment is specially designed to ensure efficient operation on non-electrified tracks, thus promoting sustainable transportation. Particular emphasis has been placed on ensuring easy maintenance to guarantee safe operation.

These converters integrate all essential components &amp;mdash; such as the traction inverter, brake chopper and line converter&amp;mdash; to be fully operational.

The traction converters are designed to operate with dual power sources, drawing electrical energy either from the overhead catenary system (15 kV AC and 25 kV AC, depending on the line) or from onboard battery systems when running on non-electrified sections. The system converts the incoming power into the appropriate voltage and frequency required to supply the traction motors.

Moreover, Ingeteam will conduct comprehensive traction system tests to validate the performance of all key elements: converter, motor and energy storage system. These tests, performed at Ingeteam&amp;rsquo;s Electromobility Laboratory feature a customized set-up tailored to the specific requirements of the project, and help reduce commissioning time, since all parameters are fined-tuned in the laboratory.

Manufacturing will be carried out at Ingeteam&amp;rsquo;s Ortuella (Bizkaia) facilities, with all deliveries expected to be finalized by 2027.

In total, more than 90 traction converters of this configuration are planned for production across different BEMU projects, including this one.

    <title>Electroluminescence functionality of Ingeteam inverters helps reduce the LCOE and optimize the performance of solar farms</title>
    <link>https://www.ingeteam.com/cz/Pressroom/tabid/3383/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/3752/language/cs-CZ/Electroluminescence-functionality-of-Ingeteam-inverters-helps-reduce-the-LCOE-and-optimize-the-performance-of-solar-farms.aspx</link>
    <description>Electroluminescence (EL) is a phenomenon in which a material emits light when an electric current is applied. This process is the inverse of how a solar panel generates electricity from light. EL has proven to be an invaluable diagnostic tool for assessing the health of photovoltaic (PV) panels. Applying current to PV cells causes them to emit infrared light which can be captured to identify and address defects and irregularities within the cells.

Historically, EL testing has been a labour-intensive process. Panels were tested individually in a dark environment, with imaging of each cell taken and processed separately. This method not only slowed down quality assurance testing but also created delays in warranty mediations.

Ingeteam has reimagined this approach. Our innovative technology can inject current back into the PV field through all strings connected to a single inverter. The process is completely safe, not requiring manual manipulation of any live electrical components. It can be run without even touching the inverter. When combined with drone-based infrared imaging and advanced image processing algorithms, this capability allows an entire inverter&amp;#39;s worth of panels to be tested in just one drone flight. By drastically improving the efficiency of EL testing, Ingeteam is setting a new benchmark for solar panel diagnostics, enabling faster, more effective quality assessments across the industry.

Ingeteam has provided invaluable support to operations teams around the world through on-site electroluminescence (EL) testing. This has had real benefits for our clients and great financial impact. We design our inverters with advanced functionalities, because our focus is providing the best possible service and reduce our clients&amp;rsquo; Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE). Our expertise has been instrumental in optimizing the performance and reliability of solar farms in countries like Spain, Chile, Panama, the USA, and, most recently, Australia.

One notable example is our work with a 500 MW PV facility in New South Wales, Australia, where Ingeteam collaborated closely with the site operations team. Leveraging our advanced EL functionality, we enabled the simultaneous injection of current into an entire inverters&amp;#39; worth of panels. This level of efficient testing allowed the analysis of 13 inverters (25 MW of panels) in a single night of testing. That is, the testing gathered precise information about the state of approximately 40,000 PV panels. This approach resulted in streamlined defect identification and an accelerated timeline for performance optimization. Night-time testing minimises facility down-time during operation hours, limiting loss of revenue in the markets.

As we continue to assist PV plant operators, we look forward to sharing more insights into how large-scale EL testing can transform solar farm operations worldwide. With Ingeteam, solar farm operators no longer need to choose between precision and efficiency; our solutions deliver both.

    <description>
 The solar project, located in Texas, has an approximate capacity of 640 MWdc, the equivalent energy to supply more than 140,000 Texas homes.
 Ingeteam has supplied 6 GW of solar and energy storage inverters for the US market.
 Solar power generation capacity surpassed nuclear power generation capacity in 2024 in the U.S., according to an analysis of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) report.

Ingeteam has helped to commission Parliament Solar, the largest installation of its&amp;nbsp;photovoltaic inverters in the United States to date.&amp;nbsp;Ingeteam has supplied photovoltaic inverters for the 640 MWdc project, located in Waller County just outside the city of Houston, Texas developed and managed by Parliament Energy. The project is expected to generate approximately 1,100 GWh of clean energy per annum &amp;mdash; the equivalent of the annual energy consumption of around 140,000 homes in Texas.

Ingeteam&amp;#39;s technological supply for the Parliament solar project included 149 INGECON&amp;reg; SUN 3Power Series C liquid-cooled central photovoltaic inverters, integrated into 80 UL-certified transformer stations, delivered as a turnkey solution ready to install. The scope of supply also included the commissioning work of the plant, carried out from the company&amp;#39;s production facility in Milwaukee. <title>Iberdrola and Ingeteam to hybridise existing solar plants with new storage systems</title>
    <link>https://www.ingeteam.com/cz/Pressroom/tabid/3383/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/3732/language/cs-CZ/Iberdrola-and-Ingeteam-to-hybridise-existing-solar-plants-with-new-storage-systems.aspx</link>
    <description>
 All these PV plants are located in Spain.
 Ingeteam will&amp;nbsp;supply&amp;nbsp;its medium-voltage power electronics solution, control electronics, and SCADA monitoring system, which will manage the solar plants together with the new battery energy storage systems.
 Ingeteam and Iberdrola have a long-standing strategic partnership, developing pioneering hybridisation and storage projects with Basque technology that promotes electrification and energy decarbonization.

Iberdrola and Ingeteam continue to focus on renewable energy storage as a key technology for the energy transition and decarbonisation. Both companies have collaborated on numerous energy storage projects, both in Spain and abroad. On this occasion, Ingeteam will hybridise the existing PV plants in Revilla Vallejera (Burgos), Andevalo (Huelva), and Almaraz I&amp;amp;II (Extremadura) using a battery energy storage system (BESS). The company will supply and commission its medium-voltage power electronics, control electronics, and SCADA solutions for each of the plants, which will begin operating in the last quarter of the year.

Each project consists of five medium-voltage stations that manage 25 MW / 50 MWh, with a total capacity of 100 MW / 200 MWh. The battery energy storage system (BESS) will store part of the electricity generated at the solar photovoltaic plants, with the aim of improving the management of renewable energy, resulting in a hybrid electrical energy installation. The storage systems supplied by Ingeteam include a proprietary hybrid power plant controller (H-PPC) coordinated with the photovoltaic plant, combining and limiting the power delivered at the point of connection.

These storage systems were recently recognized as Strategic Projects for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) and received more than &amp;euro;26 million in funding from the Spanish Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE).

It should be noted that Ingeteam has previously collaborated with Iberdrola on other pioneering projects involving the hybridisation of renewable energies with BESS. These include the first battery system installed in an operational wind farm in Spain, as well as the Puertollano and Campo Ara&#241;uelo III pilot projects. In the field of hydroelectric storage, and also using technology developed by Ingeteam, Iberdrola has commissioned the Santiago-Sil-Xares and Valdeca&#241;as Spanish pumped storage power plants over the last year, the latter considered one of the largest energy storage batteries in Spain. These infrastructures, known as gigabatteries, are essential for advancing the decarbonisation of the energy system and represent the most efficient form of large-scale storage currently available.

Another project of particular interest carried out by Iberdrola was the installation of what was the first wind energy storage battery in Bizkaia, Spain, which came into operation in 2022. Specifically, it is located at the Abadino substation, where it evacuates the energy from the 6 MW Oiz wind farm. It has a guaranteed storage capacity of 3.5 MWh and was installed by Ingeteam.

These collaborations reflect the strong and long-standing relationship between Iberdrola and Ingeteam, based on mutual trust and a shared commitment to innovation and sustainability. From the Basque Country, they provide top-quality, competitive technological solutions that not only meet the needs of the local market but are also exported to international projects, actively contributing to global electrification and the transition to a cleaner and more efficient energy model.

    <title>Ingeteam validates first mathematical model of photovoltaic plants in Brazil by ONS</title>
    <link>https://www.ingeteam.com/cz/Pressroom/tabid/3383/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/3711/language/cs-CZ/Ingeteam-validates-first-mathematical-model-of-photovoltaic-plants-in-Brazil-by-ONS.aspx</link>
    <description>Ingeteam is the first company to receive validation from the National Electricity System Operator (ONS) for a mathematical model of photovoltaic plants, consolidating its leading role in the solar energy sector.

The validation of mathematical models by the National System Operator (ONS) is crucial for the reliability and efficiency of photovoltaic generation. These models ensure the safe operation of the plants and their integration into the grid, allowing accurate simulations in different scenarios. Other benefits include regulatory compliance, operational safety and optimisation of power generation.

On the other hand, the lack of such approval can lead to operational restrictions, disconnection risks, generation uncertainties and financial losses.

&amp;quot;Similarly, it should be noted that the aforementioned database, in its revision 1 of January 2025, has incorporated the first mathematical model of photovoltaic systems from the validation process resulting from the RAP-ONS 0012/2023 Fault Analysis Report.

This mathematical model represents all the inverters currently used by Ingeteam, in particular the INGECON SUN Series B and C platforms, a family of inverters and PPCs that represent 21% of the PV generating capacity installed in the short term horizon.

In total, the model, validated and parameterised on the basis of the data sent to ONS by the operators, was associated with 2,098 MW, i.e. 84.6% of the power of the farms that have this equipment&amp;quot;.

    <description>
 ACEN Australia&amp;rsquo;s Stubbo Solar Project has been in construction since late 2022 and once complete, will generate enough renewable energy to power 185,000 average Australian homes.
 Ingeteam supplied Stubbo Solar Project&amp;rsquo;s Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) firm, PCL Construction, with the power conversion units (PCUs) for the project, which includes more than 300 inverters, the plant control systems and commissioning services.
 Ingeteam&amp;rsquo;s share of the Australian solar market is about 25%.

Ingeteam continues to strengthen its position in the Australian market by supplying its technology for ACEN Australia&amp;rsquo;s soon to be completed, Stubbo Solar project, in Central-West NSW, Australia.

Stubbo Solar, the 4th utility-scale solar facility being constructed in Australia by PCL Construction, will generate enough renewable energy to supply 185,000 average Australian homes each year and is expected to contribute to the NSW Government&amp;rsquo;s target&amp;nbsp;to halve emissions&amp;nbsp;by 2030 and achieve&amp;nbsp;net zero by 2050. Stubbo Solar covers an area of 1,250 hectares and will reduce annual CO2 emissions by 600,000 tonnes thanks to its 400 MW output.

For this project, Ingeteam has supplied PCL Construction more than 300 inverters -and their commissioning services-integrated in a turnkey ready-to-install MV solution. In addition, two Power Plant Controller (PPC) systems have been provided to help the grid operator predict and manage the PV plant&amp;rsquo;s operation. The design phase for the project incorporated photovoltaic panels anticipated to coexist with sheep grazing activities, as the land used to locate the solar project was previously used for that.

According to Juan Miguel Guti&#233;rrez, Director of Ingeteam Australia, &amp;ldquo;The construction of ACEN Australia&amp;rsquo;s Stubbo Solar project is great news for Australia and Ingeteam. For Australia because it continues to make progress in the decarbonisation of its energy mix, and for us because it demonstrates our technological competitiveness, our production and logistics capacity for projects of this size, and our technical aptitude when it comes to developing simulation models for the grid studies required by the Australian operator&amp;quot;.

&amp;ldquo;PCL Construction&amp;#39;s Solar Division is incredibly proud to partner with ACEN Australia and Ingeteam on the Stubbo Solar project&amp;rdquo;, said Gopi Govindraj, Australia&amp;rsquo;s Country Manager for PCL Construction&amp;rsquo;s Solar Division. &amp;ldquo;This marks a significant step forward in Australia&amp;#39;s sustainable energy development and decarbonisation. We are excited to see this project come to life and contribute to the country&amp;#39;s net zero targets, supporting the goal for brighter, greener communities&amp;rdquo;.

Ingeteam has had a subsidiary in North Wollongong for more than 10 years and has a solar market share of around 25% in the country, where it has positioned itself as a technology partner that supports plant developers to successfully meet the demanding technical prerequisites for grid connection. Last year it also participated with its technology on Stage 1 of ACEN Australia&amp;rsquo;s New England Solar project, that has been generating clean energy for the past 12 months.

    <description>Today, November 25th, we commemorate International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, a key date to raise our voices against gender-based violence, which affects millions of women worldwide. This year, the chosen slogan is #NoExcuse, a powerful statement reflecting the firm stance that there is no justification for acts of violence against women.

The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women was established by the United Nations in 1999 to raise awareness of this issue and promote actions to eradicate this scourge. At Ingeteam, we understand that the fight against this violence must be constant and resolute.

Gender-based violence is unjustifiable, and as a society, we must promote a culture of respect, equity, and empathy. In this regard, our company reaffirms its commitment to raising awareness, education, and the eradication of gender-based violence in all areas. We will continue working on initiatives that promote a safe and equal environment both inside and outside our organization.

Our stance is clear: #NoExcuse for gender-based violence.

    <title>Ingeteam supplies more than 1,000 MW of its solar PV power conversion systems and controls for Acciona Energ&#237;a in the USA</title>
    <link>https://www.ingeteam.com/cz/Pressroom/tabid/3383/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/3658/language/cs-CZ/Ingeteam-supplies-more-than-1000-MW-of-its-solar-PV-power-conversion-systems-and-controls-for-Acciona-Energia-in-the-USA.aspx</link>
    <description>
 The supply involves two recently commissioned photovoltaic projects totalling more than 710 MW AC. The Spanish technology company will supply more than 1 GW to Acciona Energ&#237;a in the USA.

 The projects contribute to the decarbonisation of the planet, reducing annual CO2 emissions by around 650,000 tonnes.

Ingeteam increases its participation in photovoltaic plants on American soil. On this occasion, it has supplied its technology for two Acciona Energ&#237;a projects located in Wharton and Fort Bend counties, both in the vicinity of Houston, Texas. The two new generation plants will produce clean energy equivalent to the consumption of 110,000 households, preventing the emission of more than 650,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere per year.

The first project, with a capacity of 317 MW AC, consists of 48 transformer stations equipped with 185 Ingeteam central inverters. Notably, this is the first large-scale project to be installed and commissioned by Ingeteam for Acciona Energ&#237;a in the USA. The second project has a capacity of 458 MW AC and is equipped with 71 medium voltage Full Skid type transformer stations, fully integrated with 131 INGECON SUN 3Power C Series liquid cooling central inverters. The contract signed between the two companies also includes commissioning works and the supply of its Power Plant Controller for both plants.

A third photovoltaic project, also with Acciona Energ&#237;a, involving 325 MW AC of solar power for the state of Ohio, is in the final commissioning phase. Here Ingeteam supplied 62 Full Skid transformer stations equipped with 124 central inverters and the PPC control system.

Ingeteam thereby contributes more than one gigawatt of new solar capacity in the US, once again working as Acciona Energ&#237;a&amp;#39;s technology partner.

In the words of Nohra Nasr, Ingeteam&amp;#39;s VP and General Manaqer of the solar PV, energy storage and green hydrogen business unit: &amp;ldquo;It is most rewarding to continue to work together with leaders in the US market such as Acciona Energ&#237;a and help contribute to their plans to electrify a sustainable future. Without a doubt, these projects reaffirm their confidence in our technology and service support as a reliable partner. It also motivates us to continue to do things right which ultimately strengthens our leading position in the United States&amp;rdquo;.

&amp;nbsp;Ingeteam continues to demonstrate its global role as a technology partner for power generation from sustainable and renewable sources. These new projects exemplify our commitment to a clean and sustainable energy future in USA.

To date, Ingeteam has supplied over 5 GW of its technology mostly for utility-scale photovoltaic and energy storage plants in the US, with majority projects sizes ranging between 100MW and 500MW AC.

    <description>
 The Girgarre Solar Farm project, owned by Enel Green Power Australia, have capacity of 93MWdc, equipped with Ingeteam technology, just like the two largest solar farms in the country.

Ingeteam has been awarded a new supply contract for a new photovoltaic plant in Australia. The company will supply its power electronics technology. Specifically, Ingeteam has supplied 15 transformer stations or power stations delivered as a turnkey solution, as well as the PPC (Power Plant Controller) system.

The project is located in the Campaspe Shire in the state of Victoria. Once operational, this solar farm will generate enough energy to power over 43,000 Australian homes per year, thanks to its installed capacity of approximately 93 MW.

Construction of the project has involved an investment of more than A$140 million. Construction work began in August 2023 and it is estimated to take approximately 18 months, while the plant&amp;#39;s operating life is expected to reach approximately 35 years.

The project, owned by Enel Green Power Australia (EGPA), is being constructed by Beon Energy Solutions. EGPA deploys a sustainable construction model on all its sites, working closely with contractors to encourage the adoption of solutions that amplify the beneficial impacts of each renewable power plant and proactively address any adverse effects of construction activities on the local environment and community.

Ingeteam continues to add projects and increase installed capacity on Australian soil, following the celebration of the tenth anniversary of its Australian subsidiary, which was inaugurated in November 2013.

    <title>Ingeteam&#39;s first renewable hydrogen project in Belgium is a great success</title>
    <link>https://www.ingeteam.com/cz/Pressroom/tabid/3383/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/3654/language/cs-CZ/Ingeteams-first-renewable-hydrogen-project-in-Belgium-is-a-great-success.aspx</link>
    <description>
 Operational testing was conducted over the last few months and provided Ingeteam with confirmation of the technology developed for the green hydrogen sector.
 The project has a capacity of over 8 megawatts and is located at an electrolyser manufacturer in Belgium.

Ingeteam&amp;#39;s first project for an electrolyser manufacturer&amp;rsquo;s test bench has been a great success. The project was the first 100% renewable hydrogen production facility to which the Basque technology company supplied capital equipment in mid-2022.

Following system commissioning and several months of operation, its success constituted a green light for further projects with the same customer to generate hydrogen for their mobility solutions.

Such test bench projects are a common and necessary first step that must be conducted by electrolyser manufacturers, who check the operation and assembly of all technology elements, in this case, the power rectifier. With a capacity of 8.2 MW, this project validated the use of the technology to power water electrolysis proton exchange membrane (PEM) equipment.

In its role as a technology partner, Ingeteam supplied two units integrated into its full skid solution, equipped with the INGECON H2 C-lyzer 6000 rectifier, which is responsible for powering the plant&amp;#39;s electrolyser, and capable of supplying up to 6,000 amps of nominal direct current. The equipment was delivered as a turnkey solution ready for installation, with the transformer and medium voltage switchgear. The scope of supply also included equipment commissioning.

In the words of Ingeteam&amp;#39;s Green H2 business manager, Harkaitz Ibaiondo, &amp;ldquo;contributing our technology to this project has helped us to continue its validation and development and gain first-hand knowledge of market needs. The contract marked the start of a strong relationship with this customer, whom we thank for the trust they have placed in Ingeteam as a technology partner for their projects&amp;quot;. Ingeteam already has equipment installed for projects in Spain, the United States and Belgium, and has very positive growth prospects with two major projects in the pipeline for this same customer, which will help decarbonise the global economy.

    <title>Ingeteam exceeds 36% market share in the US wind power sector</title>
    <link>https://www.ingeteam.com/cz/Pressroom/tabid/3383/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/3644/language/cs-CZ/Ingeteam-exceeds-36-market-share-in-the-US-wind-power-sector.aspx</link>
    <description>
 The company has to date equipped 55 GW of generators, converters and control systems for the US wind power market with its technology, representing a 36.55% market share.
 Ingeteam has a production plant in the United States of almost 7,500 sqm with an annual manufacturing capacity of 3.7 GW for the wind power market.

&amp;nbsp;

Ingeteam remains committed to wind power, where it is a global technology leader. Thanks to its firm commitment to the diversification of its manufacturing activity, the company has to date equipped 55 GW of converters, control systems and wind generators for the US market with Ingeteam-Indar technology, representing a 36.55% market share, which the American Clean Power Association (ACP)(1) estimated at 150,455 MW in its latest annual report.

As a result of this commitment and of its customer orientation, in 2009 the company decided to bring its production capacity to the American continent to improve its value proposition in the American market, opening a production centre in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where it produces its technology and offers Ingeteam, and third-party product life cycle-related services close to their final installation site.

Its American factory, which started operating in 2011, manufactures and distributes its wind power generators in the United States, shortening delivery times, optimising logistics and transportation costs, reducing its carbon footprint, boosting local employment and maintaining Ingeteam&amp;#39;s quality standards, making it the leading independent global supplier to the wind power sector and the only generator and converter manufacturer in the country for the wind industry. This factory also enables it to provide a more agile and closer service to its customers for repairs, spare parts, training, technical support and high value-added services for its own and third-party (multi-brand) products.

According to the ACP&amp;#39;s 2023 annual report, wind power technology accounted for 31% of all power installed in the States over the past five years for Utility-Scale projects, only exceeded by solar technology, but far exceeding other conventional technologies such as natural gas or coal.

The Inflation Reduction Act 2022 (IRA) strongly boosted the renewable industry. Thanks to this initiative, 408 GW of wind energy, solar energy and energy storage systems are expected to be constructed in the US over the next 7 years. Of these, onshore wind power will account for 23%, growing from 7.5 GW in 2024 to 16 GW in 2030, and offshore wind totalling 14 GW in 2030.

The company has been active in the wind power industry for over 27 years and committed to the internationalisation of its factories for 25 years, to better respond to the demand for its power electronics and rotating machine technology and services worldwide.

To meet the needs of its customers globally, the company has manufacturing facilities on every continent. In addition to its factory in Milwaukee, it has others in Spain, India and Brazil, where it manufactures and supplies wind power converters and generators, with an annual production capacity of over 21 GW, and where it provides its strong range of after-sales services. Ingeteam is also preparing its first assembly line for electric vehicle chargers at its factory in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Since it began operations, a total of 80 GW of wind turbines have been equipped with Ingeteam technology globally, making the company the world&amp;#39;s number one independent solution provider to OEMs, utilities and asset owners in the wind power sector.

Ingeteam is currently preparing to attend the CleanPower trade fair, which will be held in Minneapolis from 6 to 9 May. The company will be present to showcase its technological expertise and its broad range of services associated with its products. Visitors can book an appointment online via this link.

    <title>Ingeteam consolidates its technological offering for the green hydrogen sector in 2024</title>
    <link>https://www.ingeteam.com/cz/Pressroom/tabid/3383/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/3618/language/cs-CZ/Ingeteam-consolidates-its-technological-offering-for-the-green-hydrogen-sector-in-2024.aspx</link>
    <description>
 Ingeteam&amp;rsquo;s portfolio totals over 400 MW in the hydrogen sector, between awarded and completed projects, with very good prospects for the near future.
 The Spanish technological company has manufactured a new rectifier for large-scale green hydrogen production plants since October, the INGECON H2 E-lyzer.
 As an industry pioneer, it has supplied equipment to the world&amp;#39;s leading electrolyser manufacturers for their initial projects.

Ingeteam strengthens its leadership in the renewable hydrogen sector. In addition to the projects already commissioned in the last year and a half, it has a portfolio of over 400 MW of awarded projects to be delivered in 2024. The projects are distributed all over the world, in destinations such as Australia, Canada, the United States, Germany, Spain and other European countries.

Ingeteam currently has rectifiers feeding different PEM and alkaline electrolysers in plants in Spain, Belgium and the United States, generating renewable hydrogen for different applications. Two more projects will be supplied in Spain and the United States in the first half of 2024.

A new milestone will be achieved this year, with the supply of a 160 MW electrolysis project, the largest that Ingeteam has embarked upon in the sector to date.

Renewable hydrogen currently enjoys good growth prospects, due to a very mature and stable hydrogen consumption market for different applications (refineries, fertiliser production, etc.), which have no decarbonisation alternatives other than using renewable hydrogen. In response to the growing demand, Ingeteam launched a new rectifier in October 2023, the INGECON H2 E-lyzer, aimed at large-scale green hydrogen production plants. The rectifier is based on IGBT technology and has the highest current density on the market. Its serial production takes place at the company&amp;#39;s specialised power electronics factory in Northern Spain, enabling Ingeteam to achieve economies of scale and reduce the final costs of hydrogen projects.

Continuing with its ambitious product roadmap for the sector, Ingeteam is already working on the next generation of rectifiers, with improved performance and a design that has evolved in parallel with market needs (higher power density, high-quality current supply, power factor controllability, etc.).

To meet such demands, Ingeteam possesses the necessary knowledge, resources and human team, in addition to cutting-edge laboratories and state-of-the-art simulation tools to guarantee a power supply system that can meet the grid requirements of any country in the world, with the best energy performance. The power and control electronics required to power and manage electrolysers are becoming increasingly important in hydrogen production plants. Causing other players in the industry, in addition to electrolyser manufacturers, to attach increasing importance to how power is supplied in their projects.

    <description>
 The largest renewable hydrogen production plant in operation in North America to date.
 The SoHyCal project has been promoted by H2B2 Electrolysis Technologies (H2B2).
 Ingeteam supplied the power conversion system for the electrolysers, expected to produce one tonne of renewable hydrogen a day during the initial phase currently in progress.

Ingeteam has supplied its technology for the largest renewable hydrogen production plant in operation in North America. Namely the SoHyCal project, promoted by H2B2 Electrolysis Technologies in Fresno County, California, to serve public hydrogen refuelling stations in the San Joaquin Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area.

In particular, this 100% renewable hydrogen production plant employs PEM electrolysis technology. The electrolyser will receive direct current from a Power Station with two rectifiers developed and manufactured by Ingeteam. The electricity consumed by this renewable hydrogen production facility is currently produced by a biogas genset. In the second phase of the project, which is expected to be developed in the coming months, H2B2 will incorporate a photovoltaic power plant on the adjacent land. At which point SoHyCal will become the largest hydrogen production plant with an isolated solar power supply, constituting a small energy hub, achieving a total production of three tonnes of renewable hydrogen per day, to supply hydrogen filling stations in the area.

The project was awarded a USD 3.96M grant from the California Energy Commission (CEC) under the Clean Transportation Programme.

In the words of Pedro Pajares, CEO of H2B2 USA, &amp;quot;The project is intended to contribute significantly to the growing demand for hydrogen, particularly in transport applications, emissions reduction and mobility decarbonisation&amp;quot;.

Harkaitz Ibaiondo, director of Ingeteam&amp;#39;s green hydrogen business unit, stated that &amp;quot;this project is very important for Ingeteam, as it is our first project in North America and confirms our firm global commitment to green hydrogen&amp;quot;.

    <title>Ingeteam develops an energy storage system to pivot offshore wind turbines</title>
    <link>https://www.ingeteam.com/cz/Pressroom/tabid/3383/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/3611/language/cs-CZ/Ingeteam-develops-an-energy-storage-system-to-pivot-offshore-wind-turbines.aspx</link>
    <description>
 Ingeteam has already supplied the first 15 units of this system that allows the nacelle to pivot on the tower when there is no connection to the grid.
 This system, powered by renewable energy, replaces the diesel systems used to date.

Ingeteam has developed and supplied the first 15 units of its Yaw Backup System to an offshore project in the United Kingdom. The company began the development of this system in 2020 to offer the market a reliable and more efficient alternative to diesel systems responsible for pivoting the nacelle on the tower when there are strong wind conditions and the wind turbine is disconnected from the electrical grid for power outages caused by weather.

The system is made up of a frequency converter along with a stack of batteries that provide energy to the wind turbine so that it can withstand the extreme weather that usually occurs on the high seas, keeping the rotor aligned in the direction of the wind. The forces acting on the blades and the structure are thus minimized, avoiding possible breakdowns and significant damage to the wind turbine components.

It is a sustainable solution that guarantees an instant response in adverse weather conditions, to reduce the mechanical stresses of the wind turbine by directly feeding the Yaw Backup System, thus maintaining the safety of all its components and avoiding economic losses. In addition, the Yaw Backup System also provides an emergency electrical power source to support essential loads such as control and communications, among other systems.

These systems are also used in parks located in areas affected by typhoons and other adverse weather conditions. However, the increase in the size of offshore wind turbines means that they are increasingly sensitive to the loads supported and, in these situations, solutions such as the Yaw Backup System become essential.

Specifically, this project located in the United Kingdom has already received and installed the first units of this system developed by Ingeteam, making it a coherent project aligned with its mission of generating clean energy by avoiding mechanics powered by fossil fuels. The energy stored in the batteries that enable the movement of the nacelle comes from the wind turbine itself, which contributes to the sustainability of the projects and makes it 100% renewable.

The different phases of the project, which will be put into operation in the coming months, will use Ingeteam technology as it has already passed the initial testing phase.

    <description>
 Ingeteam to manufacture the inverters and transformer stations, which will be delivered over the summer for the Oasis de Atacama project, developed by Grenergy in northern Chile, set to become the largest capacity battery storage project in the world.
 The project is expected to be fully operational in 2026 and will manage 4.1 GWh of photovoltaic energy daily, helping to improve the efficiency, security and stability of the Chilean National Electricity System.
 Ingeteam, present in the country for over 10 years, thereby reinforces its position as a technology partner.

Ingeteam has been selected by Grenergy as its technology partner for what will be the world&amp;#39;s largest battery storage facility when in operation. The Oasis de Atacama project, developed by Grenergy in the Chilean Atacama Desert, will be built in five phases, which combine photovoltaic generation with battery energy storage. Ingeteam will provide its power conversion and control technology for the two systems (solar and battery). The agreement signed with Grenergy strengthens and reinforces the excellent relationship between the two companies.

Once completed, the project will provide 1 GW of power and 4.1 GWh of storage capacity, previously unheard-of figures for battery systems. Its storage capacity equals the amount of energy consumed annually by approximately 145,700 Chilean households and will contribute to the reduction of annual CO2 emissions by more than 147,000 tonnes.

The different project phases will enter operation in the next 36 months, storing clean solar energy, as all of the battery systems will be associated with solar power plants.

The scope of the agreement between the two companies includes the supply of solar and storage inverters pre-integrated into the transformer stations and delivered as a turnkey solution ready for installation. Ingeteam will also supply the control system and commissioning services for the inverters, transformer stations and facilities.

According to Ingeteam&amp;#39;s battery energy storage business director, Jos&#233; Antonio Unanue, &amp;quot;Chile is undergoing a period of firm and decisive commitment to storage as a key element to maximise its use of renewable energy. More and more projects are using our technology, and we are extremely proud to help the country achieve its goals for decarbonising its economy&amp;rdquo;. Ingeteam has experienced unstoppable growth since its arrival in the country more than 10 years ago. To date, it has supplied its technology for 68 solar power plants - many being Small Distributed Generation Means (PMGD in Spanish) in conjunction with Grenergy - and for other emblematic large-scale projects such as Malgarida, San Pedro, Granja Solar, Amanecer Solar, Quilapil&#250;n, Gran Teno, Javiera and Usya.

This stunning project arrives in the context of the Chilean government&amp;#39;s firm commitment to battery energy storage technology under Law 21505, which was approved in November 2022. The law, among other aspects, seeks to promote the inclusion of renewable energy (mainly wind and photovoltaic) in the electricity matrix. Unanue also commented that &amp;quot;Ingeteam believes this project will make use of one of the most interesting aspects of battery energy storage systems: their ability to provide photovoltaic and wind power plants with greater flexibility, which due to their intermittent nature need to store surplus production for consumption when there is no sun or wind available&amp;quot;.

    <title>New three-phase hybrid inverter from Ingeteam for residential, commercial and industrial self-consumption</title>
    <link>https://www.ingeteam.com/cz/Pressroom/tabid/3383/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/3604/language/cs-CZ/New-three-phase-hybrid-inverter-from-Ingeteam-for-residential-commercial-and-industrial-self-consumption.aspx</link>
    <description>
 It consists of several hybrid inverter models (solar + batteries), with power levels ranging from 10 kW to 30 kW, all with two maximum power point trackers (MPPTs).
 This product will be on display at the Genera trade fair being held in Madrid from February 6 to 8.

Ingeteam&amp;#39;s range of hybrid inverters (solar + batteries), so far available only in single-phase version, is now extended with four new three-phase hybrid inverter models of 10, 15, 20 and 30 kW, all of them with two photovoltaic MPPTs (MPPT: Maximum Power Point Tracker). These models are aimed at residential, commercial and industrial self-consumption systems that combine photovoltaic generation with battery energy storage systems.

The main advantage of these hybrid inverters is that two different PV arrays (for roofs with different orientations) and a battery system can be connected to a single inverter, which also integrates the Energy Management System (EMS) as standard. This makes the inverter the brain of the installation, allowing the system to be monitored at all times through a mobile application.

Furthermore, although it is an inverter designed to operate connected to the grid to minimize consumption from the grid, it can also generate an AC grid to supply critical loads in the event of a power outage.

The 10-kW model, which will be the first to be available on the market, can be ordered through Ingeteam&amp;#39;s official distributors at the end of February. The first units will be available in June 2024.

    <title>Ingeteam reaches 13 GW in India and Brazil in the wind energy industry</title>
    <link>https://www.ingeteam.com/cz/Pressroom/tabid/3383/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/3603/language/cs-CZ/Ingeteam-reaches-13-GW-in-India-and-Brazil-in-the-wind-energy-industry.aspx</link>
    <description>
 Ingeteam expanded its global presence in 2018, when it opened its production centre in India dedicated to the wind energy industry, and since 1999 it already had its wind power converter manufacturing plant in Brazil.

 Its plants in Brazil and India provide the company with an additional 10,000 m2 and an annual production capacity of 6.7 GW for wind power converter and control systems.

Ingeteam continues its firm commitment to wind energy, in which it is a global technology leader. Combined with its customer orientation, in 2018 the company decided to bring its production capacity closer to the Asian continent to improve its value proposition in the Indian market, opening a production centre in Chennai, from which it produces its technology close to its final installation location.

From its production centres in Chennai (India) and Campinas (Brazil), it manufactures and distributes its wind converters and control systems for these markets, shortening delivery times, optimising its logistics and transportation costs, reducing its carbon footprint, boosting local employment and maintaining Ingeteam&amp;#39;s quality standards, making it the leading independent global supplier to the wind energy industry. In addition to wind converters and control systems, these two production centres also allow it to provide faster and closer service to its customers in terms of repairs and spare parts management.

Thanks to its firm commitment to the diversification of its manufacturing activity, the company has supplied almost 13 GW of converters, control systems and wind generators for the Brazilian and Indian markets, all manufactured locally in the two countries or supplied from its other production centres.

According to the Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE[1]), the country&amp;#39;s total wind power capacity has reached 44 GW, with 2,275 MW installed in 2023 alone. Ingeteam closed last year contributing 8% of the installed capacity in India. 6% of all installed wind power in the country is currently equipped with Ingeteam technology.

India has ambitious targets for wind energy, aiming for 140 GW by 2030, 30 GW of which are to be offshore wind farms. The government&amp;#39;s plan to auction 50 GW of renewable capacity annually over the next five years, with at least 10 GW of wind capacity, underlines its commitment.

&amp;ldquo;2024 will be a pivotal year for India and Ingeteam&amp;rsquo;s dedication to a sustainable energy future is undeterred, promising to commit to significant growth in the years to come &amp;quot;, says Ana Goy&#233;n, Director of Ingeteam Wind Energy.

In December 2023, Brazil was already generating more than 28 GW of power from wind farms, according to the Brazilian Association of Wind Energy and New Technologies (ABEE&#243;lica[2]). In 2023, the total installed wind power capacity in the country grew by a further 4.05 GW, with Ingeteam&amp;#39;s market share being 12%, and a cumulative market share of 35%.

&amp;ldquo;Wind energy has seen exponential growth in Brazil. In the last three years, the country broke record after record for wind farm installations. Today, wind energy, together with solar energy, is seen as the fastest growing and viewed as a key element in the energy transition, both from a global perspective and from Brazil. Ingeteam will strive to continue to provide our customers with our cutting-edge technology,&amp;quot; commented Goy&#233;n.

The company has been active in the wind energy industry for more than 27 years and has been committed to the internationalisation of its factories for 25 years to provide the best response to the demand for its power electronics and rotating machine technology throughout the world.

To meet the needs of its customers globally, the company has production centres on every continent. In addition to its facilities in Chennai (India) and Campinas (Brazil), it has production centres in Spain and Milwaukee (USA), where it manufactures and supplies wind power converters and generators, with an annual production capacity of over 21 GW.

Since it began operations, a total of 80 GW of wind turbines have been equipped with Ingeteam technology, making the company the world&amp;#39;s number one independent solution provider to OEMs, utilities and asset owners in the wind energy sector.

    <title>Ingeteam reinforces its commitment to environmental transparency with the calculation of the carbon footprint for its photovoltaic and battery inverters.</title>
    <link>https://www.ingeteam.com/cz/Pressroom/tabid/3383/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/3597/language/cs-CZ/Ingeteam-reinforces-its-commitment-to-environmental-transparency-with-the-calculation-of-the-carbon-footprint-for-its-photovoltaic-and-battery-inverters.aspx</link>
    <description>
 The Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) is an environmental indicator that aims to reflect the total greenhouse gases emitted by direct or indirect effect of the product.
 The PCF is calculated from the CO2 footprints of the raw materials, plus the CO2 footprints of the production processes involved, each weighted with the efficiency factors from raw material to finished product.

Ingeteam&amp;#39;s commitment to environmental transparency in the development of its products is reinforced by quantifying their environmental impact. Along these lines, Ingeteam and Grunver Sustainability have worked on the process of compiling life cycle data for the C Series central inverter for large photovoltaic and battery plants, and also for its hybrid inverter aimed at residential systems: INGECON SUN STORAGE 1Play. In both cases, data processing has been carried out to obtain the calculation and verification of the carbon footprint.

This study has a cradle-to-grave scope, i.e. the environmental impact has been calculated from the extraction of raw materials to the end-of-life management of the product. More specifically, among all the parameters obtained, the study reveals a carbon footprint of 1.81E+05 kg CO2 equivalent for the central inverter and 1.48E+03 kg CO2 equivalent for the hybrid inverter for residential systems.

The study was conducted according to ISO standards UNE EN ISO 14067:2019 and PCR for electric and electrical products and systems EPD Italy 007 (Rev. 3.0) and PCR ParU for Power Inverters: EPD Italy 032 of the EPD Italy type III eco-labeling system.

At the end of 2023 one of its new electric vehicle chargers, the RAPID 120/180, designed and manufactured by Ingeteam, became the first Ingeteam product to have the Environmental Declaration under the Product Category Rules of the PEP Eco Passport Program.

    <link>https://www.ingeteam.com/cz/Pressroom/tabid/3383/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/3569/language/cs-CZ/Ingeteam-RD-in-the-wind-industry-from-Spain-to-the-world.aspx</link>
    <description>
 Since the beginning of activity in 1997, over 32,000 converters and 34,000 generators have been manufactured with Ingeteam technology for the wind industry.
 Currently, the company owns two production plants in northern Spain with more than 22,000 m2 dedicated to wind power.
 The company has an annual production capacity in Spain of 6.2 GW for converters and control systems and 4.5 GW for wind generators.

Technological innovation is a key factor in Ingeteam&amp;#39;s operations and is the driving force behind its growth, development and leadership. &amp;nbsp;Research, development and innovation plays a fundamental role in the company and that&amp;rsquo;s why more than 400 people are dedicated to R&amp;amp;D. The economic investment that the company allocates to this area exceeds 5% of annual turnover.

Ingeteam has a business unit and a technology centre, called Ingeteam Research Institute S.L., dedicated to long-term research, with a team that explores new applications and new markets for Ingeteam technology from a cross-sectoral perspective.

Additionally, the company currently has 7 testing laboratories to test all new developments, including a 4.0 lab dedicated to the study, design and validation of 4.0 technologies such as big data, advanced digitisation, artificial intelligence and augmented reality for its subsequent application in the various sectors in which the company operates.

Ingeteam also has a pioneering laboratory, a benchmark in the wind industry, which combines large electrical machines with converters. It performs full load tests up to 8 MW and back-to-back configuration tests up to 65 MW. It has the capacity to conduct LVRT (Low Voltage Ride Through) tests, it has a self-generated 50/60 Hz and 20 MVA network that simulates real network operating conditions, and tests of the insulation system are carried out with combined electrical and thermal factors. In addition, it has climate chambers (-30&amp;ordm;C to +80&amp;ordm;C) together with a large dust generation chamber, which allow extreme environmental conditions to be applied, and verify that the power converters are capable of operating in adverse situations. The climate chambers also have a relative humidity capacity between 15-90%.

The company continues to invest heavily in R&amp;amp;D, and will soon begin the construction of a new, high-power laboratory to accommodate future new developments. Last week Ingeteam was awarded a &amp;euro;46 Million loan by the EIB under the InvestEU programme to fund new investments in research, development and innovation (R&amp;amp;D&amp;amp;i).

All of this makes it today the world&amp;#39;s number one independent supplier for the wind industry, standing out for its industrial capacity strategically distributed in different countries globally to provide service to multiple projects. With a firm commitment to sustainability and innovation, Ingeteam continues to pioneer the development of technology for the generation of clean and renewable energy.

Since the beginning of its activity in the wind industry in 1997, Ingeteam has manufactured more than 32,000 converters and 34,000 generators with Ingeteam technology, exceeding the figure of 78 GW of installed power.

Its production plants in Sesma and Beasain, in Navarra and Gipuzkoa, respectively, stand out for being permanently at the forefront of technological innovation, in the design and manufacture of power electronics for the conversion of energy from renewable sources, as well as for the development of Indar generators. These plants have played a fundamental role in the development and advancement of the wind industry in Spain. Both facilities have more than 25 years of activity that have consolidated their position as industry leaders. Furthermore, they also help boost the economic development of the regions where they are based, as they have become poles with a strong attraction in terms of employment.

The variable speed system of the wind turbines, now standard in the industry, is based on a technology originally developed by Ingeteam, being pioneers in its implementation.

In the words of Xabier Irure, Global Commercial Director of the Wind Business Unit, &amp;ldquo;our national industry has boosted the sector since its inception. Ingeteam made a strong commitment to the development of its own technology, which has made us the first independent global supplier. We are committed to excellence and innovation and to helping make wind power the predominant energy source on a global scale&amp;quot;.

To meet the needs of customers worldwide, the company has plants on all continents. Apart from its facilities in Spain, it has a production plant in Milwaukee (USA), in Chennai (India) and in Campinas (Brazil), from which it manufactures and supplies converters and wind generators, with a production capacity that exceeds 21 GW per annum.

    <title>Orient Express Silenseas, The world&#39;s largest luxury sailing ship to be powered by Ingeteam equipment</title>
    <link>https://www.ingeteam.com/cz/Pressroom/tabid/3383/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/3557/language/cs-CZ/Orient-Express-Silenseas-The-worlds-largest-luxury-sailing-ship-to-be-powered-by-Ingeteam-equipment.aspx</link>
    <description>
 The French shipyard Chantiers de Atlantique has selected Ingeteam to provide the electric propulsion for Orient Express Silenseas, part of Accor Group.
 Ingeteam will supply the converters and motors for the two silent drives and the three manoeuvring propellers, which will make the ship more efficient and quieter, guaranteeing maximum comfort on board.
 One of the most interesting features of the ship is that it has special solid sails that make it the largest sailing ship in the world.

Ingeteam has succeeded in an order to equip what will be the world&amp;#39;s largest luxury sailing ships. Specifically, the company will design and manufacture the converters and motors that will propel the two ships that will emulate the famous Orient Express train, enabling more ecological and sustainable navigation via the latest marine technology.

The ships belong to Accor Group under the Orient Express brand, and will be built at French shipyard Chantiers de l&amp;#39;Atlantique. Ingeteam will supply a total of 5 motors and 5 converters for their propulsion systems. Specifically, two motors to drive the main propulsion plus the three transverse thrusters, together with the frequency converters for all of them, which will provide optimum onboard comfort thanks to their low vibration and noise. It will also develop two propulsion remote controls, to enable maximum propulsion management and efficiency with SolidSail technology.

Notably, the converters will include a ground connection to the port so that the vessels can be connected to the shore power grid whilst moored and thereby avoid having to run auxiliary combustion engines to power cruise services, thus helping to reduce nitrogen, sulphur and carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.

The equipment will be manufactured at the company&amp;#39;s facilities in the Basque Country where it has several production centres that produce its most technological products for the naval sector, which have equipped over 900 vessels to date.

Details of Orient Express Silenseas

Orient Express Silenseas will be the world&amp;#39;s largest sailing ship and the benchmark ocean liner from an environmental point of view on the ultra-luxury cruise market. Orient Express Silenseas will depart in 2026 and be fully or significantly powered by the winds depending on weather conditions with a revolutionary technological design developed by Chantiers de l&#193;tlantique known as SolidSail: three rigid sails with a surface area of 1,500 meters each will be hoisted on a balestron rig, with three tilting masts reaching more than 100 meters high, able to ensure up to 100% of the propulsion in suitable weather conditions. This hybrid propulsion formula will combine wind power with a state-of-the-art engine running on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and plans to use green hydrogen once the technology is approved for ocean passenger ships, launching a new, more environmentally friendly vision of sea travel.

When the cruiser cannot set its sails due to lack of wind, the electric propulsion supplied by Ingeteam will come into operation. Thus, the ship will be able to continue sailing without polluting and maintaining maximum comfort in terms of vibration and noise required by a vessel of such characteristics.

The ship will be 220 metres long with a tonnage of 25400UMS. It will feature 50 suites, - including a monumental 900 square metre Presidential Suite - two swimming pools, two restaurants and a speakeasy bar. The singular cruise ship will celebrate the Art of Travel &#224; la Orient Express: the quintessence of luxury, absolute comfort and dreams.

    <description>
 Ingeteam has started manufacturing its new converter for large-scale green hydrogen production plants.
 An assembly line has been set up at the company&amp;#39;s factory in northern Spain.
 The first projects equipped with the new INGECON H2 E-lyzer are expected to be commissioned in the coming months.
 Ingeteam has accumulated 425 MW in the hydrogen business, including supplied and pipeline projects.

Ingeteam has just started manufacturing the first units of a new model of power converter, the INGECON H2 E-lyzer, for feeding electrolysers. An assembly line for this equipment has been established at the company&amp;#39;s factory in northern Spain, from where the equipment will be shipped to sites where several green hydrogen production plants are under development in Germany and Spain.

With this specific solution for hydrogen, Ingeteam wants to respond to the growing market demand. The power electronics needed to power and control the electrolyzers are becoming an increasingly important part of the total cost of a hydrogen production plant. As plants grow in size and reach gigawatt power levels, it is necessary to develop economies of scale to manufacture cost- and time-optimized components and equipment. Ingeteam, thanks to a well-developed supply chain and a proven mass production line, will supply this new equipment to large electrolyzer plants, contributing to their viability and making hydrogen a competitive decarbonization solution.

The new INGECON H2 E-lyzer converter has a very high current density and is capable of supplying 6,000 amps of DC for electrolyser electrolysis use. Ingeteam has also developed a solution that integrates two such converters combined with the rest of the elements on the same platform or full skid, to facilitate direct connection to the medium voltage grid, thus obtaining 12,000 amps of output current. By integrating state-of-the-art IGBT technology, the new converter ensures a very high quality DC power supply and full power factor control, thus adapting to the needs of large-scale renewable hydrogen production.

The unit is water-cooled, therefore the compartment where most of the components are located has an IP65 degree of protection, and can be installed outdoors without the need for additional protection.

In the green hydrogen sector, Ingeteam has a portfolio of projects, some already delivered and others pending, which currently totals 425 MW. Projects that have or will be developed in the United States, Canada, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Poland, the Netherlands and Australia.

On the occasion of World Hydrogen Day, Ingeteam reaffirms its commitment to the deployment and viability of hydrogen technology, advancing on its path to consolidate its position as a leader in clean energy generation.

According to the director of Ingeteam&amp;#39;s Green H2 business unit, Harkaitz Ibaiondo, &amp;quot;Green hydrogen is in the initial stage, but with excellent prospects for growth in the medium and long term. We have robust and reliable technology and a committed and highly trained team, so we are very well-positioned in the market to help our customers bring their projects to fruition&amp;quot;.

    <description>
 From its factory in Navarra&amp;nbsp;(Spain), Ingeteam exports converters for wind turbines, solar inverters, storage systems and for the production of green hydrogen, as well as electric vehicle chargers all over the world.

Ingeteam celebrated the 25th anniversary of its production plant in Navarre (Spain), where it manufactures power electronics equipment for the renewable energy sector, for green hydrogen production and electric vehicle recharging. The company also inaugurated new facilities which represent a significant increase in production capacity. With this new building, it plans to meet the growing demand in the sectors in which the company operates.

The facilities mainly manufacture wind-power converters, photovoltaic inverters, electric vehicle chargers and converters for batteries and to feed electrolysers (green hydrogen). The company, whose goal is to contribute to the decarbonisation of society, in addition to manufacturing products for the renewable energy sector, has installed a 700 kW solar energy self-consumption system on the roof of the buildings to supply itself with clean energy for more than 35% of its net daily needs.

The celebration event was attended by the President of Ingeteam, Teresa Madariaga; the CEO of Ingeteam, Adolfo Rebollo, with other members of the board and senior management of the company, the President of the Navarre Regional Government, Mar&#237;a Chivite; the Regional Minister for the Department of University, Innovation and Digital Transformation, Juan Cruz Cigudosa Garc&#237;a and the Mayor of Sesma, Pedro Mangado, among other officials.

The president of Ingeteam, Teresa Madariaga, stated that &amp;quot;this factory is very important for Ingeteam, as it has been decisive in our growth, which is why we have maintained our commitment to it. We have every confidence in the market success of the new technological developments we will start to manufacture at these new facilities&amp;rdquo;.

&amp;nbsp;

25 years exporting its products all over the world

The plant was inaugurated in August 1998 when it employed 30 people. This is where the first wind turbine converters were manufactured, which are still in operation today at the Perd&#243;n wind farm. With 57 GW of installed wind power capacity worldwide, Ingeteam is the world&amp;#39;s top independent supplier of wind turbine converters.

That year also witnessed the production of its first photovoltaic inverters. It has supplied over 28 GW to the solar sector for all manner of PV installations, from residential to large multi-megawatt plants.

Later came energy storage associated with renewable technologies, which plays a key role in advancing the energy transition and the electrification of society. Its integration into the electricity grid of the future will bring great benefits, such as making the use of available energy more flexible and optimised, improving the quality of supply, integrating energy generated by renewable sources and ensuring grid stability and reliability.

Over the past 13 years, Ingeteam has manufactured more than 25,500 charging stations for electric vehicles, AC and DC, for both the domestic market and for countries such as Portugal, France, Belgium, Italy, the USA, Latin America and other countries in northern and central Europe.

In the past year, it is also worth highlighting the converters that have been used for green hydrogen, responsible for supplying direct current so that electrolysers can separate water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. The power and control electronics for electrolyser power supplies are therefore a key aspect in green hydrogen production via electrolysis, as the supply of power to an electrolyser has a major impact on its efficiency and degradation.

New R&amp;amp;D laboratory

Ingeteam employs more than 1,000 people in Navarre between its offices in Sarriguren, its power laboratory in Huarte and its factory in Sesma. These facilities will be joined by a new R&amp;amp;D laboratory in Sarriguren, work on which is set to begin in early 2024, set to be a leading innovator in the sector.

The company is a key player in the electrification of society, as witnessed by its record order book and thanks to its in-house technology development. This firm commitment is exemplified by Ingeteam having invested 5% of its annual turnover in R&amp;amp;D for decades.

    <description>The Basque company will guarantee the supply of fresh water to 3 million Americans and a pump system that will save water and make more efficient use of natural resources in a valley in the antipodes

For great evils, great remedies. One of the most obvious consequences of climate change is the severe droughts that are affecting various areas of the planet. The city of Austin, Texas, and the Murray-Darling River Basin in Australia&amp;#39;s Riverland are two examples. Fortunately, the sustainable economy provides solutions to major problems.

Such as the Basque company Ingeteam, which at its Beasain facilities produces products such as pumps, motors or generators that are exported to the United States and Australia. In the first case, Ingeteam has been chosen as a technological partner in a &amp;quot;pioneering&amp;quot; project that will supply fresh water to 3 million citizens of the city of Austin (Texas), according to the company, which will be responsible for the supply of 9 Indar submersible pumping units that will guarantee the distribution of water in a &amp;quot;safe and environmentally friendly&amp;quot; way and will help to tackle the severe drought that has plagued the southwestern area of the USA in recent years.

The project consists of the installation of a raw water intake on Lake Travis, located on the Colorado River in Texas. This infrastructure has multilevel intake filters connected to a tunnel through which the water will be transported to a new 550 million liter per day pumping station. The pumped water will then reach the treatment plants, from where it will be distributed to the area&amp;#39;s population. In addition, a maintenance building will be constructed to house the chemical feed systems that will protect the infrastructure from invasive species and improve water quality prior to pumping. This regional supply solution is currently developing its second phase and is expected to start operations in early 2027.

Indar pumps in Australia

The second project involves the efficient use of water resources. Ingeteam will contribute to protecting and preserving the Murray-Darling river basin, thanks to the supply of an Indar pump system that will save water and make more efficient use of the area&amp;#39;s natural resources. This irrigation project, which will be used for horticulture, will take water from the Murray River and transfer it 7.5 km to be used to irrigate a new almond plantation in the state of South Australia. In this way, Ingeteam presents an innovative alternative that will help to guarantee a sustainable future for the local communities and will help to address the increasingly pressing water shortage in the south of the country.

The project has consisted of the design, manufacture and supply of 8 Indar low suction or inverter pumps that have incorporate a water-cooled submersible motor. By locating the suction system at the bottom, the equipment can more efficiently manage the water levels available during the intake process, even when these are at minimum levels.

The Indar units have been designed, manufactured and tested under real operating conditions in the test bench that Ingeteam has at its Beasain facilities and will form part of the On-Farm Irrigation Efficiency Program (OFIEP) and within the Sustainable Water Use and Rural Infrastructure Program promoted by the Australian government and have recently been delivered.This is when this innovative solution with the capacity to gradually adjust to irrigation needs as the trees grow over time will be put into operation.

    <title>Ingeteam contributes to the supply of drinking water in Levante through the installation of six Indar submersible pumps</title>
    <link>https://www.ingeteam.com/cz/Pressroom/tabid/3383/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/3544/language/cs-CZ/Ingeteam-contributes-to-the-supply-of-drinking-water-in-Levante-through-the-installation-of-six-Indar-submersible-pumps.aspx</link>
    <description>Universal and equitable access to drinking water and adequate sanitation and hygiene services, as well as the improvement of water quality at a global level, are part of the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, but they have also become part of a daily problem in many parts of the planet.

Ingeteam, with its Indar submersible pumps and motors designed and manufactured in Beasain, Spain, contributes to solve part of this problem; and among the numerous applications for which the submersible pumps and motors are intended are desalination plants. In this context, the six pumps and their corresponding submersible motors have been installed in the desalination plants of Alicante I and San Pedro del Pinatar I, both belonging to the Commonwealth of the Taibilla Canals, and their main task will be to take the water to be desalinated from the sea and discharge it as drinking water to the primary water network of the region, which in the summer period has more than 3 million inhabitants.

The desalination plants and their operation

The Alicante I desalination plant is located in Aguamarga, in the municipality of Alicante, Spain. It has a maximum production of 57,500 m&amp;sup3; of water per day and the treated water is fed into the New Alicante Canal (enlarged in 2006). In this installation, 2 Indar pumps manufactured by Ingeteam have been implemented with their respective motors. These water collection units will work in coastal vertical wells which usually have a high variability of water level.

The second seawater desalination plant using Ingeteam technology is called San Pedro de Pinatar 1. It is designed to produce and supply the Commonwealth with a daily volume of up to 65,000 m&amp;sup3; of drinking water. The plant is located in the El Moj&#243;n area, near the Salinas and&amp;nbsp;Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar, in the Region of Murcia, Spain.&amp;nbsp;The new units supplied will replace the 4 identical units supplied by the company in 2003.&amp;nbsp;

The 6 units for these desalination plants have been supplied to Ingeteam&amp;#39;s distributor, Juan Azcue, S.A., and are made of stainless steel, which is highly resistant to corrosion in aggressive environments such as salinity, humidity, and acid or alkaline media.

Both plants take the water from the vicinity and then proceed to its treatment. Thus, the process includes a seawater pretreatment that guarantees its optimal conditions (physical and chemical); desalination as such, which is carried out by means of membrane racks; and finally, a seawater post-treatment that guarantees compliance with the criteria established for water for human consumption by the regulations in force.

    <description>
 Ahead of the one-year anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act, President Biden visited Wisconsin to celebrate the growth of clean energy jobs and investment in the state.
 Ingeteam&amp;#39;s Milwaukee plant manufactures generators for the wind energy sector, solar and energy storage inverters, as well as electric vehicle chargers.
 In this context, Ingeteam is boosting production in Milwaukee, USA, to meet the strong demand for electric vehicle chargers announced by the Biden Administration.
 To combat the climate crisis, the Biden-Harris Administration has announced the deployment of a nationwide network of 500,000 electric vehicle chargers along its highways and in communities.
 Ingeteam began operations in the US in 2008 and has created more than 100 jobs.

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, toured and spoke at Ingeteam&amp;#39;s plant in the USA during his visit to the City of Milwaukee, where he was welcomed by Alex Belaustegui, Ingeteam&amp;#39;s Corporate Development Director, along with David Sol&#233;, Ingeteam&amp;#39;s Managing Director, and Mark Obradovich, Ingeteam&amp;#39;s Director in the USA.

Since the opening of Ingeteam&amp;#39;s Milwaukee plant, the company has manufactured more than 4,000 generators for the wind energy sector and has supplied 4&amp;nbsp;GW of solar and energy storage inverters for the US market. An additional 1.1 GW of awarded contracts for solar and energy storage sector are in execution stages and scheduled to be installed by end of Q1 of 2024, totaling over 5.1&amp;nbsp;GW of utility scale installed capacity.

US orders of wind turbine generators from Ingeteam are expected to double in the next year thanks to incentives from the Inflation Reduction Act, which President Biden signed into law one year ago.

The passage of Inflation Reduction Act has also started to demonstrate a positive and significant impact on the potential growth of the solar, energy storage and electric vehicle chargers&amp;rsquo; industry in the US. Ingeteam is well positioned to meet the increasing market demand which will result of hiring more domestic high-paid jobs.

In May, Ingeteam announced a new to boost to its plant in Milwaukee, WI which will allow the facility to manufacture electric vehicle chargers for the North American market. This plan was made in direct response to the Biden-Harris Administration&amp;rsquo;s announcement as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law/Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to develop a national network of electric vehicle chargers, estimated to include 500,000 charging points, to help meet the growing demand for this type of product.&amp;nbsp;

Ingeteam&amp;#39;s production capacity of electric vehicle chargers in the USA will exceed 13,000 units per year. These chargers will range from 7.5 kW to 420 kW and will be Buy America compliant under the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) requirements for domestic manufacturing and Buy America Act for funded EV chargers according to the NEVI program (National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure). Production is expected to start in the first half of 2024.
