In the railway sector Ingeteam Traction, the railway division of the Ingeteam, is mainly centred on the development of electric traction solutions and integral control for railway vehicles.
Our business activity covers the following: assessment services, provided at the initial project phase, “turnkey” supply of the complete electric solution, installed aboard any type of railway vehicle, such as tramways, EMUs, high-speed trains, tractor heads or goods locomotives, equipping them with maximum comfort and performance capacity.
The fundamental objectives of Ingeteam Traction towards its clients are: to maximize the reliability and availability of the trains, where our systems have been installed, and minimize operating costs, i.e. electrical consumption and maintenance costs.
Basic performance principles:
In order to provide the best service to our clients, at Ingeteam Traction, we have adopted the following basic working procedures:
- Flexibility: As a designer and manufacturer of equipment, we provide custom made solutions to suit the needs of our clients. Hence, seeking each time the optimum solution that best suits each individual project.
- Maximum power performance: One of the main priorities during the development phase of our systems is to reduce power consumption to a minimum while seeking to attain, at all times, the maximum power consumption efficiency.
- Reliability and Availability: The Ingeteam Traction systems are characterized by their capacity to maximize the reliability and availability ratios of the equipment supplied.
- Low Maintenance Cost: During the design phase we take into account the maintenance activities that will subsequently be undertaken. This way said activities may be carried out at the lowest cost and the best efficiency possible.
- Close contact with the client: At Ingeteam Traction we believe that the key to the success of our projects lies in the joint collaboration we establish with our clients from the very beginning of the project, i.e. initial project definition phase, right up to the commissioning phase and subsequent technical support.
