Ingecon® Wind: Power converters for energy conversion

Converters for machines with double fed generators, Double Fed Machine (DFM). By simply interacting with the generator’s rotor it is able to fully control the machine and attain high performance rates.

Converters for turbines with Full-converter technology. This technique uncouples the generator from the electrical network to attain an absolute control of electric energy flow and a vast range of useful rotational speeds.

Converters for xDFM generators. This topology, developed by Ingeteam, is a new concept where the converter functions without being connected to the electrical network. This innovation incorporates the typical advantages offered by DFM and Full-converter technologies.
Every single design is created to suit the particular demands of the wind-generator as required.

Energy conversion based on IGBTs for powers ranging from 660 kW, 850kW, 1,5 MW, 2 MW and others to 5 MW.

Rotor or stator vectorial control techniques. Total active and reactive power control.

Voltages from 690 V to 12 kV. 50 or 60 Hz frequencies.

Compliance with international network connection standards.
In 2007 we reached the total number of 11.000 Ingecon® Wind converters supplied. In 2006 Ingeteam Energy’s converters equipped 2,191 MW, i.e. a 14% share of the world market.
