The INDAR UGP-M Submersible low suction electropump set consist of a vertical multistage centrifugal pump, and an ISM ML-M electric motor directly coupled to the pump.
The INDAR ISM ML electric motors are submersible, asynchronous, three-phase, squirrel cage rotor types. These motors must operate filled with water (or a mixture of water and antifreeze) and be fully submerged.
The lubrication of the bearings is done by the motor filling liquid. Cooling is accomplished by the motor filling liquid and the pumping water surrounding the unit.
The ISM ML-M motors are designed exclusively for the operation of vertical centrifugal pumps.
In low suction units the pump is located in the lower part and the motor in the upper part. This way, water suction is carried out from the lower part of the electropump set, which enables to work with lower water levels than the standard configuration units (motor at the bottom and pump at the top of the unit).
