The technology developed by Ingeteam Power Technology makes it possible to make control loops with response times above 200us with a jitter less than 500ns. The determinism of the INGESYS IC3® monitoring and control platform is achieved using a synchronous architecture called iTSX whose components are the processing unit, I/O modules and communications bus.

INGESYS IC3® with its iTSX architecture makes it possible to achieve hard real time control with very small cycle time and a high level of determinism thus providing a solution to demanding process control requirements which to date was not possible due to the limitations of the control systems used. This characteristic, together with built-in MATLAB®/Simulink®, results in a platform which is optimum in terms of hardware/software for modelling physical systems in test bench applications.  

iTSX technology is 100% compatible with the current INGESYS IC3® solution. In terms of hardware, it is compatible with the conventional TSX bus used by INGESYS IC3® for I/O access. In terms of software, CODESYS-based automation and communications tasks can work alongside MATLAB®/Simulink®-based control tasks.

The result is a control system which incorporates advances control functions and conventional automation functions while maintaining the characteristics of an industrial control system in terms of robustness, interoperability and reliability at a reasonable price.
