New INGEDRIVE MV contract for sugar mill in Thailand
Ingeteam has received an order to supply two INGEDRIVE MV100s to drive two sugar cane mills in a plant belonging to a leading group in the sugar market.  The plant is located in the province of Saraburi in Thailand and constitutes the first order for INGEDRIVE converters in this country.

This sugar plant has decided to change the current steam turbine drives for an electrical drive equipped with a frequency converter. This change will offer a much more efficient energy solution, since the cane's pulp will be used to generate electricity. Operation is due to commence in spring 2014, just in time for the sugar cane harvest period.

The scope of supply consists of two, air-cooled INGEDRIVE MV100 frequency converters with a three-level NPC topology and HV-IGBTs semiconductors. It is a topology with a small number of components resulting in greater system reliability and smaller dimensions.
