Ingeteam Service diversifies its range of services to cover the aircraft construction sector

26/04/2016

Ingeteam Service has diversified its range of maintenance services and has been awarded its first contract for the provision of services to the aircraft construction sector. The company is to take part in the commissioning and maintenance of the equipment forming part of the assembly chain to manufacture the  A350 XWB Airbus, developed at the Airbus plants at Getafe (MAdrid) and Illescas (Toledo). Specifically, the work is to comprise the maintenance of the equipment responsible for manufacturing the wings of the A350XWB aircraft and the start-up of the automation solutions used in the aircraft manufacturing process.

The Navarra company, MTorres, was responsible for Ingeteam's entry into the aeronautics sector, proof of the synergy existing between both companies. This relationship commenced at the end of 2013 in the wind power sector, with collaboration in a maintenance project for wind turbines with TWT-1,65 technology.

This new project has witnessed the successful achievement of the objectives set when MTorres decided to place its trust in Ingeteam Service in order to move forward along this path. For this purpose, both companies came together to design a wind farm maintenance project, particularised at all levels, from training in preventive and corrective tasks, the supply of components, right up to PLC engineering tasks.

This new synergy in the aircraft sector places great demands on both companies. It has borne fruit thanks to close collaboration, which goes beyond a simple customer-supplier relationship.
